Well, you are not the only one who tells me that oyster card sounds disgusting...

I had two people in a row told me the same thing, and the other person asked me that if Oyster Card is for discount on oysters...

I know....what the heck is Oyster Card?? I don't know what makes it sound disgusting, is it oyster or oyster card itself?

Anyways, it's a pre-paid transportation card in London. By using this, you can get 50% off on tube fares as well as buses. It's just like "悠遊卡" in Taipei, "Suica" in Tokyo, etc. Since the government is trying to promote it, they have many sweet deals on it. The transportation kinda costs a lot in London if you happen to commute to school or work.

So, Oyster card is not something disgusting, it just happens to have a weird name I guess.
